Fubon Life Insurance Implements Trinity Professional to Align with IFRS 17
Fubon Life Insurance, a subsidiary of Fubon Financial Holding, has long been a leading force in Taiwan’s insurance industry. In 2022 alone, the company received nine major awards and six honorable mentions, including being named “Best Insurance Company in Taiwan” by World Finance for the 11th time. Given that the average Taiwanese citizen holds approximately 2.6 insurance policies, the volume of financial transactions in the life insurance sector is enormous.
In preparation for Taiwan’s insurance industry-wide adoption of two major international standards—IFRS 17 and the Insurance Capital Standard (ICS)—by 2026, Fubon Life has proactively developed a comprehensive plan for IFRS 17 implementation. As part of this initiative, the company adopted Trinity Professional to support the necessary data exchange and application design processes required under the new regulatory framework.
Trinity Professional provides an integrated job scheduling and process orchestration system. With built-in browser-based monitoring, Fubon Life’s users can track the real-time status of all jobs without the need for local installations. The platform’s Trinity JCS Job Control Service enables seamless cross-platform and cross-system integration, offering detailed flow control features such as task dependencies, workflow sequencing, and conditional logic execution. This greatly reduces manual interventions and human error, streamlining operational efficiency.
A key strength of Trinity JCS lies in its support for a wide variety of invocation methods—including command-line, scripts, enterprise tools, APIs, Web Services, SOAP, and REST—delivering robust flexibility for complex job scheduling scenarios.
Mr. Chia-Cheng Su, the project’s business manager, noted: “By adopting Trinity Professional, Fubon Life has established a solid foundation for IFRS 17 implementation. The platform’s built-in ETL capabilities allow seamless interaction between databases and file systems, enabling efficient data transmission, transformation, and integration across a diverse enterprise IT landscape.”
This implementation not only lays out a comprehensive framework for data integration under IFRS 17, but also positions Fubon Life to scale further. Trinity Professional supports modular expansion, allowing the company to meet future regulatory or technological changes with ease.
