EasyCard Corporation adopts Trinity ETL Enterprise to integrate its BI reporting platform
EasyCard Corporation, Taiwan’s leading operator of electronic ticketing systems, is known for its widely adopted EasyCard, which facilitates transportation across the country—including high-speed rail, Taiwan Railways, intercity buses, and YouBike. The card’s utility extends beyond transportation, covering micropayments at convenience stores, supermarkets, restaurants, tourist attractions, healthcare facilities, public administration fees, and library services. With over 160 million cards issued, EasyCard has become a cornerstone of Taiwan’s digital living infrastructure.
In response to current and future business strategies, EasyCard Corporation selected Trinity Enterprise to help plan and build an ODS (Operational Data Store) data platform. This centralized platform focuses on organizing data around customers, channels, and products. Trinity’s automated system and user-friendly ETL interface played a key role in simplifying and accelerating the integration of disparate information systems.
The project involved establishing a streamlined ELT process using the robust Trinity Enterprise framework. It consolidated data flows, validation rules, relational mappings, and schedule cycles that were previously scattered across multiple source systems or maintained manually. Through Trinity’s unified interface and automation features, EasyCard was able to efficiently extract, transform, and load (ETL) raw data, validate it, and feed it into the centralized database. This significantly reduced the maintenance burden on IT staff.
In parallel, EasyCard built a BI reporting platform as part of the project. Business units can now independently design reports tailored to their needs, supporting data-driven decision-making and strategic expansion efforts. The system enhances the speed and accuracy of business analysis and operational insights.
Mei-Ying Chen, the account manager overseeing the project, remarked: “In the era of digital technology, high availability has become a standard requirement for IT infrastructure. For this project, EasyCard deployed Trinity Enterprise with a built-in standby server, ensuring full system redundancy and high availability. A dedicated validation and testing environment was also established, creating a secure and reliable deployment for EasyCard’s internal users.” She also emphasized Trinity’s scalability: “As transaction volumes grow, the platform can be horizontally scaled by adding more Agent nodes, allowing seamless performance expansion to meet future demands.”
With Trinity Enterprise, EasyCard Corporation is well-positioned to support sustainable digital operations and advanced business intelligence, paving the way for more agile and data-driven growth.
