A Major Taiwanese Cable TV MSO Adopts Trinity Professional and Hadoop Data Adapter to Build a Data Warehouse for Integrated Big Data Analytics

A major multi-system operator (MSO) in Taiwan’s cable television industry has adopted Trinity Professional in combination with the Hadoop Data Adapter to establish an enterprise-level data warehouse platform, aimed at powering integrated big data analytics. With operations spanning more than 10 regional cable systems and a vast subscriber base, the company ranks among the top MSOs in Taiwan.

The implementation of Trinity Professional with the Hadoop Data Adapter allowed the company to consolidate data from numerous application systems into a unified and standardized repository, laying a solid foundation for high-quality analytical insights. The project also supported strategic analysis of viewer engagement and broadband infrastructure performance through a robust, scalable data integration environment.

Given the diversity of existing systems, the project faced challenges in data extraction—particularly in ensuring that the process would not disrupt ongoing operations of the source systems. Trinity Professional was selected for its ability to handle complex, high-volume data extraction and transformation workflows with precision and efficiency, executing scheduled jobs reliably on a daily basis to meet the performance demands of analytics teams.

Senior Account Manager Daniel Lee, who oversaw the project, commented: “With the deployment of Trinity Professional, the customer successfully built a high-performance and stable data warehouse environment that consolidated and standardized data across its many legacy systems. The Hadoop Data Adapter enabled seamless integration with the reporting platform, empowering senior executives and marketing teams with a comprehensive decision-support system for business analytics.”

This successful implementation marks a significant step in the customer’s digital transformation journey, enabling data-driven decision-making and enhancing its competitiveness in Taiwan’s media and telecommunications market.
