Dayeh Takashimaya Department Store Leverages Trinity ETL for Report Management and Technology Marketing

Dayeh Takashimaya Department Store, a trusted name in Taiwan for over two decades, has taken a significant step toward digital transformation. In its pursuit to enhance service quality through data-driven decision-making, the company recognized the importance of having sufficient computing power and analytical capabilities to support multidimensional analysis and predictive modeling of customer behavior and product sales performance.

In the competitive retail landscape, operational analysis demands not only resources but also efficient systems. Dayeh Takashimaya previously relied on legacy processes for data extraction and reporting, which were both time-consuming and labor-intensive. In response to business needs, the company required timely, accurate reporting to support operations and decision-making across departments.

To address these challenges, Dayeh Takashimaya implemented the Trinity ETL platform to automate the transformation of data from existing databases into a format suitable for the reporting system. This shift replaced manual paper-based workflows, significantly reducing paper usage and manual labor costs. According to Mr. Cheng-Ta Li, the senior business manager overseeing the project, the existing database structure was relatively complex. Therefore, the project also included restructuring and organizing the data schema to allow the IT department to independently generate customized reports in the future, improving overall team efficiency.

Mr. Li also recalled that during the project’s evaluation phase, the company emphasized that the implementation of Trinity ETL should not only streamline workloads and improve IT resource efficiency but also enable IT professionals to focus on innovation, aligning with Dayeh Takashimaya’s goal of realizing technology-driven marketing. One of the key reasons the company selected Trinity was its flexible and scalable architecture, combined with cost-effectiveness. The solution’s ability to accommodate future expansion with reasonable investment made it a strategic choice for the department store’s long-term growth.
