Hua Nan Commercial Bank replaces Informatica and Automation with Trinity
With nearly a century of service in Taiwan and a global footprint, Hua Nan Bank operates a comprehensive data integration platform to process vast volumes of file-based data, ensuring daily updates to its EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse) and supplying critical information to various downstream systems. However, the bank’s legacy Informatica system and outdated job control scheduler could no longer meet the evolving demands of modern business operations and digital transformation goals.
Following a rigorous product evaluation and feature comparison, Hua Nan Bank selected Trinity Enterprise to replace Informatica. In addition to improving operational stability, the bank implemented the Trinity Metaman metadata management module to enhance traceability and lineage across its EDW. This move supports better maintenance of upstream and downstream dependencies during data changes, significantly reducing the risk of operational errors.
Mr. Cheng-Yu Wu, Technical Director at Trinity, noted: “Trinity Metaman not only mitigates risks associated with data handling errors, but also strengthens internal communication by integrating business metadata elements—such as terms, rules, scenarios, and core tables—with technical metadata management.”
During the implementation, Trinity Enterprise also helped resolve previous inconsistencies in data handling logic. Thousands of legacy workflows originally executed through Informatica and other outdated systems were successfully migrated to Trinity Enterprise. By integrating Trinity JCS for job scheduling and dependency control, Hua Nan Bank achieved fully sequenced and reliable execution of all operations, ensuring accuracy and completeness in data processing.
