President Translation Service Group International Limited adopts Trinity UDM big data technology to implement its translation assignment support system
President Translation Service Group International Limited (PTSGI), the largest integrated multilingual translation company in Asia, operates internationally and offers 24/7 professional language services. In a highly competitive industry, the company constantly pursues higher efficiency and improved service quality. The General Manager strongly advocates for applying IT innovations to business processes. With the rise of big data analytics in recent years, PTSGI aimed to optimize its translation assignment workflow and gain a stronger competitive edge.
Traditionally, translation assignments were handled manually—a task that heavily depended on the experience of coordinators and project managers. This made automation difficult and hindered knowledge sharing. Moreover, the process was time-consuming and prone to inconsistencies due to subjective decision-making.
To address this, PTSGI combined its deep industry expertise with Trinity UDM’s unstructured data management capabilities to build a customized AI system. The solution integrated Active Directory (AD) permissions and interfaced with the company’s existing ERP system, enabling a semi-automated translation assignment process. The system officially went live in Q1 of 2018.
All key performance indicators (KPIs) were successfully met. The AI-powered solution now takes only minutes to identify similar past translation files, recommend suitable coordinators, and suggest qualified translators—demonstrating a successful application of big data analytics in an enterprise setting.
Wei-Hong Zeng, senior consultant at Trinity and project manager of the implementation, noted, “The AI system significantly shortened assignment times—from tens of minutes or even hours down to just a few minutes. This is especially impactful for junior staff. It’s become a standout example of how Trinity UDM can power unstructured data management in real-world scenarios.”
