Fubon Securities adopts Trinity Enterprise to replace DataStage for enterprise-grade integration services
Fubon Financial Holdings, established in 2001, is Taiwan’s first financial holding company. With over 300 business locations and more than 6.5 million clients, it operates a diverse portfolio of subsidiaries. Among them, Fubon Securities has been in operation for many years, but recent challenges have emerged due to aging infrastructure. Many of its software and hardware systems have reached End of Service (EOS), creating significant difficulties in data processing and migration.
After a thorough needs assessment by the NetPro technical team, it was clear that beyond hardware upgrades, the core issue lay in Fubon Financial’s centralized database architecture. This setup frequently encountered I/O bottlenecks and resource contention, making it increasingly difficult for IT teams to manage operational planning and execution. In addition, regulatory bodies are encouraging institutions to adopt modern practices, including integration with big data platforms.
To address these challenges, Fubon Securities adopted Trinity ETL, replacing the legacy DataStage environment. This transition significantly improved operational performance and resolved critical EOS-related data transformation issues. In parallel, the project also implemented the Trinity BDM (Big Data Management) module to enable integration with the Hadoop big data platform, supporting enterprise-wide data search and analytics. This shift marks an important step toward fulfilling regulatory expectations for big data analytics and achieving modern, scalable data infrastructure.
