Taiwan Mobile adopts Trinity to replace its existing Teradata Automation

In response to the increasingly competitive telecom market in recent years, mobile e-commerce providers have begun to place greater emphasis on data processing automation, Big Data analytics, and Open Data utilization as key resources for maintaining their market edge. Companies are also recognizing the importance of identifying and prioritizing high-value customers.

Taiwan Mobile, one of Taiwan’s top three telecom providers, adopted Trinity ETL as its enterprise ETL platform, replacing the legacy Teradata Automation tool, ETL Lite. The transition and implementation of the ETL workflows were supported by the expert consulting team from NetPro Information’s Trinity division. In addition to replacing the legacy ETL system, Taiwan Mobile also implemented the Trinity UDM (Unstructured Data Management) module to collect and process unstructured data such as website content and online information.

The client emphasized that after adopting Trinity, the tool’s versatility, performance, integration capabilities, and partial customization options played a vital role during system deployment. Data processing performance improved by more than 50%.

Mr. Hung-Mou Lin, General Manager of the Business Intelligence Division, commented: “This collaboration extended beyond the implementation of a new tool—it included comprehensive ETL architecture design and front-end presentation consulting. The Trinity team provided seamless support throughout the migration, deployment, and go-live process. Beyond replacing Teradata ETL Lite, Taiwan Mobile also plans to integrate its other ETL tools under a unified Trinity environment, simplifying IT operations and significantly reducing annual maintenance costs.”
