Trinity signed a project collaboration agreement with the laboratory of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications
In November 2015, Trinity signed a collaborative agreement with the School of Computer Science at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) for the establishment of a joint laboratory project. This initiative is part of BUPT’s broader efforts to foster innovation in talent cultivation, build a world-class educational environment, and encourage faculty and students to engage in cutting-edge research in the IT and data exploration fields.
As a key national university under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education and co-sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, BUPT was among the first institutions included in China’s “Project 211” and a major participant in the “985 Project for Advantageous Discipline Innovation Platforms.” It is also part of the “Excellence Program” and the “111 Plan,” widely recognized as the cradle of China’s information technology talent. The university has long served as a crucial base for cultivating national IT professionals and is committed to building an influential national-level educational platform that develops globally oriented, interdisciplinary talent while exploring new models of collaboration between government, industry, academia, and research.
The newly established computer science laboratory is a strategic initiative to strengthen BUPT’s high-level talent development, foster innovation platforms, build a robust support system for research, and promote interdisciplinary collaboration.
With Trinity’s data management platform recognized for its leading-edge technology in the industry, this partnership brings advanced curriculum resources and tools to the university. Through close collaboration, BUPT will leverage its research and talent strengths, while Trinity will contribute its technical and market expertise. Together, both parties aim to foster deeper cooperation between the IT industry and the education sector and drive forward collaborative development.
