Press Conference: Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology Receives Analytics Software Donation from NetPro – Industry, Government, and Academia Join Forces to Promote Big Data Analytics in Southern Taiwan

On May 28, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology (STUST) held a press conference to commemorate the donation of advanced analytics software by NetPro Information Co., Ltd. University President Dr. Chien Tai accepted the donation on behalf of the school, while Mr. Shangyi Lo, General Manager of NetPro’s Enterprise Analytics & Applications Division, represented the company. The event was witnessed by distinguished guests including Ms. Ching-Hui Chao, Chairperson of the Tainan Research, Development and Evaluation Commission, and Mr. Shih-Hsi Yin, Deputy Director General of the Tainan Economic Development Bureau.

This collaboration aims to foster professional talent development in big data analytics, enhance enterprise value for the private sector, and support data-driven policy-making in the public sector—ultimately creating a win-win-win synergy among academia, industry, and government.

As part of the initiative to promote big data adoption in Southern Taiwan, NetPro donated its “UniPlatform – Universal Data Analytics and Mining Platform” software package to STUST, valued at NT$6 million. The donation is intended to support curriculum development and training in data analytics, contributing to the broader effort of cultivating data-savvy professionals and accelerating big data implementation across sectors in the region.
