Industry–Government–Academia Jointly Promote Big Data Analytics in Southern Taiwan – Our Company Donates UniPlatform Analytics Software to Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology
To promote big data analytics in southern Taiwan, our company has partnered with Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology (STUST) by donating NT$6 million worth of our “UniPlatform – Universal Data Analytics and Mining Platform” software. This collaboration is designed to support the cultivation of data analytics talent and further drive big data adoption across industry, government, and academia in the region.
On the 28th, a donation press conference was held at STUST. University President Dr. Chien Tai accepted the donation on behalf of the school, while Mr. Shangyi Lo, General Manager of our EAA Business Group, represented NetPro. Also in attendance as witnesses were Ms. Ching-Hui Chao, Chairperson of the Tainan City Research, Development and Evaluation Commission, and Mr. Shih-Hsi Yin, Deputy Director General of the Tainan Economic Development Bureau. Through this collaboration, all parties hope to cultivate specialized talent, generate enterprise value for the private sector, and enable responsive policy-making in the public sector—creating a win-win-win model across industry, government, and academia.
President Tai expressed his gratitude to NetPro for its commitment to social contribution and talent development at a time when the company continues to thrive in the industry. He stated that UniPlatform would be a key tool for the university’s big data research, ICT integration, and its role in advancing the “Productivity 4.0” initiative in southern Taiwan.
Mr. Shangyi Lo remarked that as NetPro celebrates its 20th anniversary, the company remains focused on one mission: helping clients realize the value of their data assets. Recognizing the creativity and vitality of STUST, as well as the strong potential for economic development and big data applications in southern Taiwan, NetPro hopes to co-develop a big data analytics center with the university—advancing shared goals between academia, government, and industry.
Following the donation ceremony, NetPro’s Senior Consultant Mr. Wei-Hung Tseng gave a keynote talk titled “Big Data Analytics,” offering guests from STUST, the alumni association, and city officials a concise overview of key trends in big data applications.
Additionally, Professor Jen-Peng Huang, Chair of the Department of Information Management at STUST, shared that UniPlatform has already been integrated into the graduate-level “Data Mining” course. As part of the Ministry of Education’s “Technical and Vocational Education Reform” initiative, Mr. Yuan-Hsun Chang, NetPro’s Vice President, was invited to deliver an 18-hour, 6-week training course. Replacing previous teaching tools, UniPlatform has proven itself as a powerful commercial-grade platform, delivering strong results and helping students better align with industry standards.
